Winning is the only cure to Trump and his merry band of fascists. Money is the ammunition in this war for America.

Are you tired of losing? Been out there with your signs? Done your angry posts on Bluesky and Facebook? Felt good for a little while didn’t it? Ready to put your money where your head and heart are? Then get out your credit card because we in Oregon and Washington have a Congressional race that can win the House of Representatives.

Nope, not the Democrats in Multnomah and Washington county. Save your time and money. Those deep blue seats that are not in play. The race to watch is across the Columbia River – Washington’s 3^rd District. The democratic incumbent is Marie Glusenkamp Perez. This is the fight we need to win.

Washington 3 is a swing district. Perez has held it for two cycles against the former Trump appointee Joe Kemp. He is a MAGA hack, as easy of a target as Perez could have had. This time the republicans are deadly serious. They have put forth the current leader of the Washington Senate Republicans. He is fully endorsed by Trump, and a gusher of MAGA PAC money is flowing into the race. In a shaky national map for the Republicans, they are gunning for Marie and a district on our doorstep.

Glusekamp Perez is not a Portland progressive. If you only support the ideologically pure, get over yourself. We don’t have time for morally virtuous losers anymore. Marie matches her district. To win nationally, the Democrats need a wide variety of candidates who can win in every in-play district. Republicans, by a narrow margin, won the great redistricting wars so we are in a deeper hole to take back congress. We need to hold every swing district we have now and then take back purple seats across the country. Even on the best night in November, a margin of 15 seats would be huge.

Simply put, we can’t grow a new majority without defending the seat we already have. What we can do is send money. Lots of money. For Marie to have a chance she needs to counter the Trump money flowing into the Braun campaign. This is the trench warfare of modern campaigns. Join me in the trenches. I have contributed to her two previous winning campaigns. But now, we all need to, at fucking last, do something to take back power.

In a national environment where Trump is in a deep hole, the Washington 3 race is dead even. DEAD EVEN. The time to send money is NOW. An individual can contribute up to $3,500.
